This was extremely interesting. Thank y...Aloha Tim

This was extremely interesting. Thank you for this. Now, that you've mentioned it. I DO remember some films from that era and yes, they did have stories. Yes, silly... but quite different to today's porn movies.

I think you said it well when you said, 'non-stop mechanical sex.' Very. Ah, interesting on gay porn. I didn't realise that either.

Yes, I do hope it doesn't become as boring as hetero porn. I was on another group and they talked about the emergence of gay sex in both books and film, appealing to women. (whether this is new, or just more widely talked about, I don't know.) But they talked about the attraction for women to the more 'feminized man.' I'd probalby call them 'metro men' as compared to 'alpha men.' And part of the attraction with gay sex scenes, was that some women are looking for a different more 'emotionally' available man in many regards.

Anyway, thanks very much for your comment. That was very interesting.

I appreciate you reading.

Aloha Meg :-) Meg Amorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16330778909112029352noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6681976468880322747.post-87785493660666026822014-07-27T17:06:09.253-07:002014-07-27T17:06:09.253-07:00Interesting post, thanks.
Some of the difference...Interesting post, thanks.

Some of the difference between hetero and gay porn is due to the history of censorship. In the 1970s and 80s, straight porn films often were prepared with the ability to make a soft core version. The films would have plots and characters (however silly), and ensure ample nudity and foreplay in addition to explicit sex, which could be cut, or cut and replaced with alternate soft core footage. The soft core versions were for cable TV and jurisdictions where explicit sex was prohibited.

Thanks to loosening censorship restrictions and the internet, these films have been largely replaced by non-stop mechanical sex, though a few are still made. Restrictions on gay porn lasted longer and are still in effect in some areas, so there is a greater demand for soft core material and films that can be edited to soft core.

Loosening censorship restrictions and the internet mean dull mechanical gay porn is becoming more available, but the inherent equality of the performers should prevent it from becoming as common as dull hetero porn. trchttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07028832471880568869noreply@blogger.com
